River Valley Rods & Customs is a not for profit corporation, formed under Section 1702.01 et. seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. The Club was founded in 1988. Total 2019 membership in the Club is 41. Members own several vehicles ranging from 1930's to date. We enjoy getting together, having fun, and raising money & awareness for charitable organizations and causes. The Club endeavors to keep the cruise-in alive.
River Valley Rods & Customs officers for 2019 are Lowell Bixler (President), Bill Lecrone (Vice President), Steve Shaeffer (Treasurer) and Phylliss Dewitt serves as the Club’s Secretary. New officers are elected annually. Although attendance at monthly meetings is NOT a requirement for membership in the Club, a Club member must attend at least six meetings per year, in order to be eligible to run for an office.
Stan The Man With A Plan D.J.’s at all of our cruise-ins. All cruise-in equipment & supplies are brought to events in a walk-in step van that was bought and is maintained by the Club. All of our cruise-ins feature music, 50/50 tickets, door prizes, games and raffles. Trophies and dash plaques are awarded at every cruise-in. All of our cruise-ins are family oriented events!
River Valley Rods & Customs helps host the annual Earth Angel Super Cruise (www.earthangelfoundation.com), held each year at the Fairfield County fairgrounds. Club President Lowell Bixler, as well as Club members Terry & Diane Smith serve on the Board of Directors of Earth Angels.
